Batujimbar is one of Bali’s most outstanding private luxury villas – and a magical wedding venue. Originally the home of famed Australian artist Donald Friend, and epitomising ‘Balistyle’ architecture, the villa boasts a colourful history and a celebrity guest list featuring monarchs and rock legends. Traditional pavilions house nine bedrooms and multiple living and dining areas full of antiques, artefacts and heirloom paintings. To look after you is a team of staff including a villa manager and private chef. A 20-metre pool, gym and tennis court within the meticulously designed one-hectare gardens, which have direct access onto Sanur Beach.

Location

Villa Batujimbar accords guests an extraordinary location right on the edge of Sanur Beach: a private gate leads directly from the villa gardens onto the footpath that stretches the length of the white sand swimming beach in both directions. Privacy and peace are the promises of its privileged setting within the exclusive Batujimbar Estate, yet just 150 metres away is the buzz of Jalan Danau Tamblingan, Sanur’s main street, with its throng of restaurants, bars and boutiques. Guests may pick up Bali’s famous Jenggala ceramics (created on the villa’s grounds decades ago), enjoy an espresso at Café Batu Jimbar, snack on sushi at Ryoshi, or dance to live music at Three Monkeys – all within a five-minute walk. There’s a good choice of water sports along the beach, a nine-hole golf course within a few kilometres, and the delights of dive- and surf-spot Nusa Lembongan a half-hour boat ride away.

All of our villas come with the services of our guest relations manager, who will be pleased to assist with tours/transport, massages and spas, babysitting and all general advice and information needed to ensure your vacation is a memorable experience.

Please state in your inquiry if you’d require airport transfers. There’s a transfer fee of IDR 200K one way for one car, to fit 4 people and luggage (surcharge of IDR 50K if the transfer is between 10 pm – 7 am). The fee is payable to the driver directly.

Please note: Bookings that fall outside of these periods are restricted to a minimum stay of
3 nights.

In the event a Customer cancels a confirmed booking, the following penalties will generally apply:
i) 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before arrival.
ii) Up to 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 59 days before arrival.
