Sumberkima is a seaside village next to Pemuteran close to Menjangan Island, diving and snorkeling paradise. It has diverse scenery and authentic culture steeped in tradition. Here you can truly relax away from the bustle of the south. The resort has panoramic views of the hills, the bay of Sumberkima and the volcanoes of Java. It comes with two restaurants at the retreat, serving local and international cuisines. The reception team can organise all your excursions, yoga sessions and spa treatments.

Located at the edge of Barat National Park overlooking the Bali Sea with spectacular views over Menjangan Island and five volcanoes on Java 70 km away, Villa Murai contains all the amenities you could desire and more! The living room has stylish, sliding teak wood shutters allowing you to open up or close the room just as you please.

The bedroom is spacious with a romantic king size bed, seemingly hovering in mid-air, just the place to float away to paradise. Bathing with a view has never been better, as the bathroom overlooks the volcanoes with an iconic bath for two, an indoor as well as outdoor shower and two elegant wash basins. You will feel at home instantly as you relax on the sunbeds underneath the frangipani trees and enjoy the panorama, the gardens and the magnificent sunsets. Keep an eye out for magpies as the villa was named after this simple yet elegant creature.

Guest Access

You can use the communal pool in the area of your villa. This pool is 22 meters in length, perfect for doing laps. This is the Lingga pool, with spectacular sunset views behind the Java volcanoes.

Two restaurants are available at the retreat for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Suma and Senja restaurant. Suma restaurant offers fusion food and has a panoramic view overlooking the hills and the bay of Sumberkima. Senja Restaurant is an Indonesian restaurant with colourful sunset views behind the volcanoes of Java, overlooking the Barat National Park. You can also order room service from a special menu and enjoy your food in the privacy of your own villa.

We have a yoga pavilion and teacher available, the Yoga pavilion has a perfect view towards the sea. We also offer traditional and healing massage and beauty treatments at our spa.

Additional Info

Every villa has a mobile phone to make it easy to contact the reception, for instance to organise a trip, make a spa or massage appointment, book the free shuttle or to contact both restaurants. You can find a guest book in every villa which contains a comprehensive list of things to do in the area and also mentions our general manager’s number for emergencies.
